Dr Lewis Levitz completed his Ophthalmology training in South Africa and the UK.

He is an author of the first multicentre study confirming the predictability and safety of the Panoptix lens in 2017, and was involved in its launch in Australia. He also produced a virtual textbook on laser cataract surgery in 2012. He has performed over 4500 FLACS procedures and over 1000 EDOF lens implantations. Dr Levitz has been a reviewer for JCRS and Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology. Dr Levitz was actively involved in VIC RANZCO for 10 years as a Member, Councillor and Treasurer. Dr Levitz is the Medical Director of Vision Eye Institute.
